Details
FAST-ACT 5kg Bulk Pail
The FAST-ACT® Bulk Pail is a comprehensive solution for managing hazardous chemical spills and decontamination. Designed for maximum efficiency, the 5kg Bulk Dry Decontamination Pail effectively neutralizes a broad spectrum of harmful substances, making it an essential tool for safety and emergency response teams. This versatile pail excels at neutralizing a wide range of acids and is highly effective against phosphorous compounds. It adeptly adsorbs halogenated compounds, organic substances, caustic and basic gases. Importantly, it neutralizes and adsorbs hazardous chemical agents such as GD, VX, HD, and various other warfare stimulants, ensuring a robust response to critical situations.
Typical Applications Include:
- Hazmat Teams: Spill Response and Containment
- Sorbent in a decon line shuffle pit
- Rapid covering of surface with decon powder
- Neutralization of unknown chemical mixtures
- Industrial & Commercial Facilities: Accidents, Leaky Storage
Our technology utilizes a specialized metal oxide blend with enhanced chemical breakdown capabilities. Featuring irregular shapes and high pore structures, our materials efficiently capture and interact with chemicals, facilitating both physical and chemical reactions.
DEcontaminate, COntain and Neutralize:
- CWAs (Eg.: VX, Sarin, Mustard & Chlorine)
- Acids
- TICs (Eg.: Sulfuric Acid)
- Bases
- TIMs (Eg.: Formaldehyde)
- Organic & Halogen Compounds
FAST-ACT® is a proprietary formulation of non-toxic high-performance specialty materials effective at neutralizing a wide range of Toxic Industrial Chemicals with the added capability to destroy chemical threats. FAST-ACT® has two proprietary components – Magnesium Oxide (MgO) and Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) – in powder. Unlike commercially available versions of titanium dioxide and magnesium oxide, these materials are manufactured using unique processes that allow for greatly enhanced physical and chemical properties of the components allowing for broad chemical efficacy.
FAQs:
How do I know how much FAST-ACT I should apply to a spill?
You cannot apply too much FAST-ACT. A good rule is to apply enough FAST-ACT to fully contain the liquid spill.
How do I dispose of the treated residue?
Dispose of the treated residue based on local regulations. For some wastes, it may be landfillable. For others, even when that chemical agent has been rendered safer, it may need to be disposed of as hazardous waste.
