Sterling Rope Hawk Autolock Asymmetrical D Carabiner
The Hawk AL is a 3-stage, asymmetrical D-shaped carabiner. Crafted from high strength 7075-T6 aluminum, the Hawk is strong and lightweight. The D-shape aligns loads along the spine, giving this carabiner a higher MBS over oval and pear carabiners.
Autolocking or self locking carabiners have a spring-loaded barrel that closes over the gate when released. This type of locking carabiner offers a little more security in the system over screw gate carabiners, but all carabiners should be second checked.
